Basketball

Sterling House Basketball is a recreational league for all children and abilities. Focused on teamwork and having fun, we do not keep records or standings for our games. Practices are once a week during weekdays; games are 1-2 times a week. 

Jerseys are provided

League end date is subject to change depending on weather cancellations.

Practices start the week of December 2nd

Season games start the week of January 6th

Players may play up a grade level, please register for the division you want to play in.

Sportsmanship and Player, Coach & Spectator Behavior

Cancellation Information

The Sterling House youth basketball league is a recreational league that promotes fun, development, participation and sportsmanship; official records and standings are not kept. All team members must play at least 1/2 of every game. 

Spectators are encouraged to cheer for all players, regardless of team affiliation. Negative comments, coaching players, taunting players, criticizing referees, and any other poor sportsmanship will not be allowed and can lead to ejection from the gym.

Let the coaches coach, let the referees officiate, and let the players HAVE FUN and PLAY.

 

Basketball games and practices are cancelled whenever school is cancelled or dismissed early due to weather. Saturday cancellations are posted on this site by 7:30 am. 

Sterling House youth sports recreational leagues promote fun, development, participation and sportsmanship; official records and standings are not kept. Team members must play at least one half of every game. Spectators, coaches, players & officials are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and positive behavior during practices and games.
