Established in 1932, Sterling Community Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit community center in Stratford, CT, serving more than 8,000 people annually through Youth Development and Athletics programs, our Resource Connection & Food Pantry, and various community-based events and initiatives. Our donors are integral to our mission to create and sustain a community we can all be proud of!

Give to the Resource Connection

Our Resource Connection and Food Pantry provide year-round services to community members needing support. We welcome donations of food and supplies for all our programs. Visit our Amazon Wish List, or see below for commonly requested items. Donations can be shipped directly from our Amazon Wish List or brought to the Front Desk.

Back-2-School Drive
Child backpacks, pens, pencils, lunch boxes, notebooks, folders, pencil cases, erasers, crayons, markers, and highlighters.

Food Pantry and Senior Deliveries
Low sodium canned vegetables, peanut butter & jelly, low sodium canned soups, whole wheat pasta, low sodium beans, canned tuna/chicken, sugar, shelf-stable milk, rice, oatmeal, granola bars, popcorn

Stratford Food-4-Kids Program
Baked beans, bread – small loaves/rolls, ramen noodles, canned vegetables, Chef Boyardee, Poptarts, canned fruit, peanut butter & jelly, canned soup, mac and cheese, oatmeal, juice boxes, cereal, granola bars
