Teen Camp Opportunities

Counselor in Training Program

Sterling Day Camp is committed to providing our teens with the opportunity to be half camper, half leader! The Counselor-In-Training program creates an opportunity for participants to develop leadership and job skills as well as develop skills to become a future counselor. This program is designed for teens entering 9th-12th grade.

CITs must be present a minimum of 6 of the 9 camp weeks, 7 out of 9 preferred.

CITs must enjoy working with children, have a positive attitude, want to learn and practice leadership skills, and be good role models for campers working under a camp counselor and other camp staff.

The CIT program fee is $250 for the summer.

CITs who successfully complete the program will receive the $250 fee returned at the end of the summer as well as a stipend for completion, and verification of service hours.

Upon completion of the CIT program, teens may be eligible to move on to our Junior Counselor Program.
